California AB 1305 Disclosure Statement

Fruit of the Loom, Inc. (including subsidiary and affiliate companies, “Fruit of the Loom”) provides this disclosure in compliance with the California Health and Safety Code (AB 1305), Section 44475.2, which requires disclosure of certain information about our Climate Goals (defined below), progress, and methodologies.

Emissions Marketing Claims

In 2019, we set targets to reduce our greenhouse gas (“GHG”) emissions. In 2021, the Science Based Target initiative (“SBTi”) approved our targets, as follows:

  • Reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 50% by 2030 from a 2018 base year.
  • Reduce absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions covering purchased goods and services, and fuel and energy related activities, 30% by 2030 from a 2018 base year.
  • Increase annual sourcing of renewable electricity from 40% in 2018 to 100% by 2030.

These targets are collectively referred to as our “Climate Goals.”

Interim Progress

Fruit of the Loom has achieved its Climate Goals as to Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions in the aggregate. While Fruit of the Loom has made progress towards its remaining Climate Goals, these goals are still in process of being achieved. Details regarding Fruit of the Loom’s progress towards achieving its Climate Goals can be found on pages 11 and 12 of our Fruitful Futures™ Sustainability Plan.

Emissions Calculation Methodology and Science-based Targets / Emissions Reduction Pathway

Fruit of the Loom calculates its GHG emissions and progress towards achieving its Climate Goals in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard (Revised Edition) and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard. Fruit of the Loom’s Climate Goals have been validated by the SBTi as consistent with the reductions required to limit global warming to 1.5°C (Scope 1 and 2) and WB-2°C (Scope 3). Our targets align with SBTi's near-term criteria (version 5.1, April 2023).

Assurance

Fruit of the Loom engages an independent third-party assurance provider, to conduct annual verification of its GHG emissions inventory, energy consumption, and climate-related claims, including the information used to monitor progress towards achieving its Scope GHG emissions Climate Goals.

Please see our verifications for Scope 1 and 2 (click here) and Scope 3 (click here).

Voluntary Carbon Offsets

We do not market, sell, purchase, or use voluntary carbon offsets as part of our climate program.

Updates

Pursuant to Section 44475.3(b) of AB 1305, we will update this disclosure no less than annually to reflect our progress and any changes in our climate strategy or methodologies.
